- In this video there is the idea of binary oppositions as mentioned in Levi-Strauss' theory. It could be argued there is both Good/Bad and Love/Hate. This is because the couple are both in love and seen as good people, but then when the man sleeps with someone else he is seen as bad and she most likely has some hatred towards him and the woman he was sleeping with.
- Todorvs theory is also followed to a certain extent. If you ignore the first scene and start at the beggining of the flash backs we see the girls normal life, the original equilibrium. We then see the disruption, the husband sleeping with another woman. This leads to the recognition of the disruption when the woman walks in on them together.
- The lead woman could be seen as the 'princess' in the video, but the man starts as the 'hero' and develops into the 'villain' as the narrative progresses. You could also therefore say he is a 'false hero' because he acts like one at the beginning but then changes.
The binary opposition of good and bad is something that will be used in my own video, as we will have the Heroes and Villains. Similarly to this video, our Heroes will also be both good and bad in different sections of the narrative, a slightly entropic idea as they are normally just the good guys.

Okay, now add a bit more depth. Are you going to use any of these ideas for your own music video? Which ones and why / why not?
